Yes, it's National Day. Merdeka. Merdeka. But I'll talk about that later.
For now I would like to talk about this BE. SWEET ON. dessert shop I visited on my last night at Seoul. Despite having returned from Seoul for a week, I am haunted by memories of its sublime dessert.
The tiny little place is located at Hongdae, it has some interesting interior decoration. Look at the luggage piled on the floor, it's part of the decoration.
The restaurant's pretty new, started a few months ago, the chef graduated from Japan.
Here's a video of BE. SWEET ON.
Here's me and Ming Jin's wife, Tomoko.
I cannot remember the name of the food they served us, it was so delicious that immediately its name disappeared from my brain and they merely existed purely in the form of its exquisite taste. As I took small bites of the food, I didn't want to eat so quickly, wanting the eating experience to last as long as it could. Ah, it was ecstacy, it was food porn at is finest!
I nearly wept.
(Ming Jin took the photos below)
... now, if only I can remember the names of the dishes.
UPDATED: Oh, the pink one's something like 'fram boiser' and the tart was 'tarte titan'. According to Ming Jin.
There are more photos of BE. SWEET ON on Tomoko's blog (Japanese only) here and here. She went twice, lucky her!
